In this blog post we want to share our personal Stay22 experience. We’ve been using the tool since May 2025 on our blog. If you run a website or blog, you may have already experimented with affiliate programs. You’ll find out how Stay22 works, what makes it special and for whom the affiliate program is really worthwhile.

What Is Stay22?
Stay22* is an affiliate tool that embeds interactive maps with hotels, hostels and Airbnbs directly on your website – through a single script called Let Me Allez (LMA). The idea behind it: you help your readers find accommodation near events or locations – and earn a commission in return. The maps, links and widgets can easily be integrated into blog posts. In your account, you can simply generate the code or links you need and embed them on your site. Stay22’s own website also offers plenty of blog posts and help pages that give you ideas and explain how everything works.
And if you ever get stuck, you can reach out to your account manager for help. Their team is super helpful and responds quickly. It’s definitely worth trying Stay22’s affiliate program. And through our link, you get an extra $100 after your first 100 bookings (we reached our first 100 bookings in just 5 weeks).

How Does the Stay22 Affiliate Program Work?
After signing up with Stay22*, you get access to a dashboard where you can create interactive maps and embed them on your pages. There are various integration methods – from simple widgets to an API for technically savvy users. The payment model combines CPC (cost-per-click) and CPA (cost-per-acquisition), depending on the partner (e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb). Behind the scenes, an AI engine called Roam powers all of Stay22’s tools and continuously learns from user behaviour.
Payouts: Your balance is paid out once it reaches $100, on a roughly 30-day cycle. Bookings go through a standard 30-60 day holding period after check-out (to account for possible cancellations) before the commission is finally released.

More Stay22 Features: LMA, Nova, Spark & LinkSwap
Everything runs through a single script called Let Me Allez (LMA), which activates Nova, Spark and LinkSwap in the background all at once.
- Nova isn’t a popup – when it detects booking intent, it opens a background tab with a matching booking offer, without interrupting your reader’s current page.
- Spark automatically scans your older blog posts for suitable spots to add affiliate links, then adds them retroactively.
- LinkSwap automatically replaces dead or non-affiliate links with working Stay22 links – handy if, like many blogs, you have older posts with broken hotel links.
- There’s also a fairly new YouTube integration that detects hotels in your videos and automatically creates matching affiliate links for the video description – according to several user reports, this doesn’t work perfectly yet.
What Happens to My Existing Affiliate Links?
If you’re already, say, a Booking partner and aren’t quite sure whether Stay22* is really right for you, you can rest easy – there’s no risk involved. You don’t have to change your existing links manually. As soon as you add the Stay22 script to your site, your existing partner links are automatically recognised and redirected.
All you have to do is add the script – and everything runs through Stay22 from there. For us, that took less than 5 minutes. In your partner dashboard, you can then track your earnings in real time and get a transparent overview of clicks and bookings.
And if you ever decide you’d rather go back to your old setup, that’s no problem either: simply remove the script again, and your original affiliate links will work exactly as before. You can also have individual affiliate partners disabled. For example, if you want to remain a direct affiliate partner for GetYourGuide, you can just message your account manager and they’ll adjust the selected partners for you.
Which Articles Work Best With Stay22?
Not every blog post converts equally well. Other Stay22 users’ experiences show a clear pattern: event and calendar pages, as well as destination and city guides, perform best, because readers are already further along in the booking process. “Where to stay in…” articles and detailed hotel reviews also perform strongly. Generic articles like “The Best Hotels in X” or general travel tips without a specific location convert more weakly.
Tip: place Stay22 maps and links specifically in your location- and booking-focused articles, instead of spreading them across the whole blog.
Our Stay22 Experience – An Honest Review
We integrated Stay22 on our blog to test earnings compared to our direct links from Booking. And to make a long story short: our Stay22 experience was consistently positive.
Setup is easy, the maps look great, they work perfectly on mobile too and fit naturally into the content. All our links were redirected, and it didn’t take long before we got our first bookings. Our earnings are currently noticeably higher than before with direct Booking integration. You can also earn an extra $100 if you sign up through our link*. As soon as you reach your first 100 bookings, you get an extra $100. Even smaller blogs typically reach their first 100 bookings within a few weeks. So it’s worth it!

Are There Any Downsides?
Despite the many plus points, in this Stay22 review we also want to mention a few things you should be aware of:
- The maps can’t be fully customised (e.g. colours, icons)
- The benefit is fairly limited for blog posts without a location reference
- Earnings are strongly niche-dependent
- With very low traffic, the program doesn’t pay off immediately
- Support is only available in English
In short: Stay22 isn’t a one-size-fits-all tool – but it’s a real win for the right audience.
Stay22 vs. Alternatives
| Tool | Payment Model | Integration | Standout Feature |
| Stay22 | CPC + CPA | 1 script for all partners | Interactive maps, Nova, Spark |
| Travelpayouts | CPA | Individual widgets/links | Wide partner network, but no map feature |
| Booking.com direct | CPA | Manual links | No automatic redirect of existing links |
| GetYourGuide direct | CPA | Manual links/widgets | Tours/activities only, no accommodation |
The biggest difference: Stay22 bundles multiple providers through a single script, while with Travelpayouts, Booking or GetYourGuide you have to integrate each partner separately.
Tips for More Success With Stay22
Based on our own Stay22 experience, here are a few tips for you:
- Place maps right after location mentions – this increases the click rate.
- Avoid “map graveyards” – embed them sensibly within the content.
- Combine Stay22 with tour or ticket partners (e.g. GetYourGuide).
- Test different placements and monitor performance in the dashboard.
- Use events, destinations or activities as context for map integration.
GDPR & Privacy With Stay22
Since Stay22 processes user data for tracking and personalised map display, you should update your privacy policy accordingly and list Stay22 as an embedded service. Depending on your cookie consent tool, the integration may need to load only after user consent. Nova opens its booking tab in the background on a separate Stay22 page – meaning the data processing doesn’t happen directly on your own website, which keeps the GDPR effort for this feature somewhat lower than with classic on-page tracking. Tip: if in doubt, check with your data protection officer or cookie consent provider before going live with the script.
Stay22 Review Verdict: Is the Affiliate Program Worth It?
In conclusion: Stay22 is a genuine recommendation*, if your website features events, travel reports or location-based content. The maps boost not just usability but also conversions – and the combination of Airbnb and hotel offers makes it really practical for your readers.
